In 2021 our darling daughter, Piper, was diagnosed with DIPG - an incurable and untreatable brain cancer.

Piper underwent palliative radiation and was the unicorn-loving, energetic, special little girl we all love for another 7 months before she passed away in February 2022.

Every Christmas we put up our lights display with a bit more pink each year to honour, remember and celebrate Piper. She loved Christmas and our Christmas lights so much. She used to help put them up!

Christmas is a bittersweet time for us, as are most days, but we continue on with the bravery and joy that Piper brought and still brings to everyone who knew her.

We want to also acknowledge the many other families out there who have an empty chair at the Christmas table because their child is no longer with them. Every year many families are told the heartbreaking words, ‘sorry there is nothing we can do, go home and make memories., because their child has DIPG.

We wish every day that there will be a cure for this devastating brain cancer, until then we will raise awareness for and support those experiencing DIPG. We will also, always support those who continue life without their child because of DIPG. You will forever need support.
