Hello, thank you so much for stopping by Unbounded Law's fundraiser. My name is Sofia Collin, founder of the Unbounded Law project and the philosophy behind it, Unbounded Law ; I am hoping to raise funds to support the Unbounded Law initiative in order to cultivate greater peace in our communities through the acknowledgment of the good.
This initiative has two main activities:
(1) It seeks to gather true stories told by police, which detail positive action they have seen in their communities
(2) It distributes pins to police and local community organizations to wear, give, and exchange with each other to create an avenue for the celebration of positive action in our communities.
Police on a daily basis engage in overwhelmingly stressful and negative situations, with little opportunity to engage with the public in a positive way. This not only creates a sense of fear in citizens when interacting with police, but it also is also very hard on officers.
What is essential to the role of peacekeeper is that he/she/they promote, and celebrate, peace. In order to celebrate and cultivate peace, meritorious action, not just reprehensible action, should be acknowledged. The giving of pins and the sharing of stories would unite citizens by promoting and acknowledging the deeds of the citizen that improve society as a whole, uniting by free agency and societal strengths, not their aberrations.
Peace is more than the absence of reprehensible action—it is the celebration of mankind’s goodness, and the power of human compassion.
Your donation would help purchase pins to distribute to officers and to the public; it would help Sofia pay for her website hosting, and any expenses related to visiting police departments and community organizations interested in participating in the initiative. You are also welcome to visit our shop , and purchase pins directly to wear, give, and exchange, as well as a growing selection of merchandise.
We are most grateful for your interest in the Unbounded Law project; please feel free to contact Sofia with any questions, concerns, or if you just wish to share your thoughts.
