Power of the Children Pre-Primary School, Arusha, Tanzania

Hi everyone,

I am currently volunteering at Power of the Children Pre-Primary School in Arusha, Tanzania. The school cares for approx. 100 children aged 2 to 11, many of whom come from low-income backgrounds and rely on it for both early education and daily meals.

As an underfunded school, POTC operates with scarce resources. Currently, there is no proper facility for cooking or storing food safely on-site. A school kitchen is in progress, thanks to the work of previous volunteers, but it remains incomplete (please see attached photos). To make it usable, the school still needs to install a roof, flooring, windows, and basic kitchen equipment.

Working closely with the school director, Pascalina Khaday, all funds raised will go directly toward finishing the kitchen as well as purchasing stationery and teaching materials for the kids.
