Help Bring Clean Water to the Village of San Francisco, Honduras
For the families living in the rural village of San Francisco, Honduras, clean water has never been a reality. Every day, children and parents collect water from a small spring feeding a single hose—or from surface water that is unsafe, unreliable, and easily contaminated. This is their only option, and it puts their health and futures at risk.
Who We Are
PCWE partners with the Honduran non-profit Agua Para el Pueblo (Water for the People) to bring sustainable, life-changing clean water systems to remote communities. Together, we fund, plan, and build gravity-fed clean water systems that deliver safe water directly to families for generations. Our past projects have transformed daily life for entire villages—and now we’re preparing for our next mission.
The Need
In February 2026, our volunteers will travel to Honduras to support the village of San Francisco, a community facing deep and persistent poverty. Families survive by growing corn, beans, and occasionally coffee—keeping a portion to eat and selling the small surplus to cover basic needs. Employment opportunities are scarce, limited mostly to the short coffee-cutting season. Without clean water or basic sanitation like latrines, preventable illnesses are common, and progress is incredibly difficult.
Our Plan
With your support, we will:
- Fund all materials needed to build a gravity-fed clean water system
- Train local administrators to operate, maintain, and protect the system long-term
- Provide health and sanitation education for homes and schools
- Ensure the entire community gains permanent access to clean, safe water
This system is not a temporary fix—it is a sustainable, community-led solution.
