New iPads for Plant Based Food Share

Plant Based Food Share provides healthy food boxes to people facing food insecurity for various reasons, including Covid-19 related hardship, job loss, and lack of access to fresh & healthy foods. We have been distributing food boxes on Mondays at Cafe Red in South Seattle since March 2020, and we will be expanding distribution to a second location in Federal on Fridays starting in October.

We're streamlining Plant Based Food Share's pickup and delivery process and we need reliable tablets, so we're getting 5 new iPads!

We will be using the funds to buy 5 new iPads at a discounted rate of  $300 each plus tax.

The new iPads will allow us to check people in when they come to pick up their food boxes. We will also be using them for routing deliveries for recipients who are unable to come pickup their boxes.
