My Family is Homeless. Please Help.

Due to some unresolved family issues, my mother, her husband, and her four children - including myself - have been unhoused. We are struggling to get by with the only things of ours being the clothes on our bodies, the one vehicle to get us to and from places and help us make at least some small amount of revenue, and the non-perishable foodstuffs that we are hoping do not spoil in the summer sun over Texas.

My mother is a hardworking woman, but she is sick. She has cancer and her body can only handle so much stress. My stepfather can only do so much while also looking after her. May siblings and I are able-bodied, but nobody is willing to hire no matter how hard we look; this is our last resort.

The goal of $5000 was determined based on absolute necessities for 6 people in Texas:

• Food & Drink
• Shelter
• Clothing
• Gasoline
• Toiletries
