Dear Friends,
Even though fundraising has always been a part of my life, I've learned a very valuable lesson recently. I've always shared my fundraising efforts in the hopes others would join in and help, especially in my age group. We are young & strong, and can help those that need more than a one-time monetary donation.
What I didn't realize is sometimes the person receiving your help wants to remain anonymous. And, sometimes the person giving wants to do it anonymously. Some Veterans don't have a phone or the internet; they can't ask for help. This fundraiser is about finding them. I want to bless as many Veterans as possible! With your help, we can do that. These are our heroes and they need us. America is free because of these special people!
I would like to help Veterans that are in need of food and necessities. Maybe they can't drive anymore. Maybe they don't have gas money. Maybe they have no way to get to the store. I want to help them by dropping off a care package of food and necessities. When I drop off their care package, I want to sit and talk with them, brighten their day, hear their stories, thank them for their service. We need food and necessities to live, but we also need companionship. I've always been there to hear their stories and want to meet more Veterans who need help. Maybe other teens will follow suit in their communities.
I've connected with our local American Legion Post. I've connected with our US Post Office. You could make your own care package & send to me, or I can make it for you, if you'd like to donate to this GoFundMe. I pray it's successful so more Veterans' needs are met. I set a goal of $1,000, but would love to exceed it!
