This mission is deeply personal for me. As a teenager, I spent time in a youth group home myself. At 17, I was facing my own hardships in St. Louis and unsure what my future would hold. Having a safe place — and adults who believed in me — gave me the chance to turn my life around. Years later, at just 20 years old, I took in Dakota, a 14-year-old in foster care. Together, we navigated school struggles, tough behaviors, and the ups and downs of life. He taught me patience, responsibility, and what it truly means to be a parent. Those experiences shaped my calling: to make sure other teens don’t just survive, but truly thrive. Right now, we have an incredible opportunity to take the next big step in our mission: purchasing a permanent home for our youth. Owning our own space means more than walls and rooms — it means security, consistency, and a place where teens can feel safe to grow, heal, and dream.
