ustin Reid has been selected as the Week 6 NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Community MVP after he and his JReid InDeed Foundation hosted the “Fully Charged” coding and digital creativity workshop for local youth at the New Orleans Public Library.

“Being recognized as an NFLPA Community MVP is humbling and energizing,” the New Orleans Saints safety said. “I’m motivated to do this work because every kid deserves a chance in life through access to skills, mentorship, and opportunity. This foundation is committed to making that a reality.”

This event marked the first session in Reid’s foundation’s monthly enrichment series for New Orleans students ages 13-18. The Fully Charged initiative is designed to inspire young people to explore their passions for coding and digital creativity through engaging, hands-on learning.

Grounded in the foundation’s three pillars — technology, nutrition and athletics — the program helps teens develop real-world digital skills and creativity while empowering them with practical tech knowledge and the confidence to thrive in a digital world.

This recent workshop continues Reid’s longstanding dedication to closing the digital divide for youth in underrepresented areas across his team cities of Houston, Baton Rouge and Kansas City through several tech initiatives.

“Through the JReid InDeed Foundation, we run the Tackling Tech Computer Science Summer Program in Kansas City, with plans of expanding to New Orleans in 2026,” Reid said. “We also spark creativity with Coding for the Culture and connect teens to digital opportunities through Heroes in Tech.”

Outside of the digital space, Reid and his foundation support entire families through annual seasonal events like his Thanksgiving Grocery Grab and Just-In-Time For The Holidays activities, continuing their mission to uplift and strengthen communities year-round.

This marks the second time that Reid has earned NFLPA Community MVP honors. In 2021, the then-Houston Texan was recognized for supporting his home state of Louisiana by raising $10,000 and filling two 18-wheeler trucks with goods to help those impacted by Hurricane Ida.

“As much as I love competing on Sundays, I also love making an impact off the field, building real opportunities for kids and families,” Reid said.

In recognition of Reid being named NFLPA Community MVP for Week 6, the NFL Players Association will donate $10,000 to the JReid InDeed Foundation. Along with the other Community MVPs from this season, he will also be eligible for the Alan Page Community Award, which is the NFLPA’s highest player honor and includes an additional $100,000 donation.
