DeShon Elliott has been selected as the Week 14 NFLPA Community after opening a fully stocked food pantry to support middle school students and their families in the Pennsylvania's Woodland Hills School District. 

Officially known as "DeShon Elliott's Victory Vault" the pantry features multiple shelves filled with non-perishable items and a large refrigerator stocked with fresh food. Along with Thanksgiving meal ingredients and everyday snacks, the space also includes school supplies and brand-new sneakers, giving kids access to essentials they may need throughout the day. The pantry will remain open all year, offering food access and resources to middle school students and their families whenever they need them.

Despite still recovering from a knee injury, the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back made a point to be on hand at Dickson Preparatory STEAM Academy for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony

on November 25. There, he unveiled the pantry to a group of 20 students and spent time talking with each of them so that they felt seen and supported.

Following the event, Elliott continued giving back by hand delivering Thanksgiving baskets filled with items from the pantry to several neighborhood families who were unable to attend. 

"Pouring out to people means a lot to me, and hopefully it means a lot to me the people I'm affecting" Elliott said.

In recognition of Elliott being named NFLPA Community MVP for Week 13, the NFL Players Association will donate $10,000 to his nonprofit of choice. Along with the other Community MVPs from this season, he will also be eligible for the Alan Page Community Award, which is the NFLPA’s highest player honor and includes an additional $100,000 donation.
