The Muddy Paws Fund
Emergency resources for a rainy day.
Our goal: To create a network of resources for current pet owners so that we may continue to rescue and provide excellent care for our FurBabies. We hope to acquire a wide range of partners from pet insurance companies and vets to day care recovery. The fund will be used to help pet owners in emergency situations.
All resources will be publicly available. However, direct fund allocation will be screened through applications and will require a vet invoice to be submitted.
Inspiration: Luna's mommy had taken her to the vet for x-rays, fluids, meds and an ultra sound and they had decided she needed an emergency surgery for bowel obstruction. Luna's mommy had already maxed out credit cards and applied for the max amount of care credit and was still short $2000 just for the deposit. The vet gave her two other options; take her home and hope she passes it on her own or they could "humanely" euthanize her FOR A FEE. We campaigned to friends, families, and FurParents we had never even met and were able to raise $2600 in about 24 hours! Luna had her surgery and is recovering well. She is almost back to her old, crazy self. Her mom has even resonated about $1000 back to the fund!!
We never want to see a loving owner have to experience the stress and turmoil of being stuck in a situation where your only options are to let your pet suffer or lose them forever.
Help us build and grow our umbrella and save those Muddy Paws! We thank you for your continued support.
