Q-ship society, The last Flower Class Sloops

Aims of the Q-ship Society CIC:

1. Move

2. Moor

3. Restore

As a CIC we hope to obtain ownership of the ex-flower class sloop HMS Saxifrage (1918, World War One) from the current care takers in Chatham Working mans Docks, we would have to provide towage out of the docks and into a permanent home. The CIC would be then responsible for the mooring of the ship at the site, hoping that it would be at a discounted rate being that we are restoring one of the last three ships from World War One. Restoration would start as soon as we could gain entry to the vessel with hopes to restore her to as close too World War One configuration with glimpses of her RNVR history being seen in the structure. The ship would become a museum focusing on the history of Q-ships and U-boats during World War One.

Money raised from fundraising is currently going on maintaining the society and work toward finding a new permanent home for the vessel.
