Hello, my name is Emperatriz Jaimes, and today I come to you to share that I am going through one of the most difficult moments of my life. With great humility, I am asking for help with my immigration situation, as my legal status in this country is at risk, and this could separate me from the most important people in my life: my children, especially my daughter Ashley Salavarria.

Ashley was born with Down syndrome, and from the very first day of her life she has faced many health complications and developmental challenges. As her mother, I have been by her side through vision surgery, heart problems, sensory issues that prevent her from eating solid foods, every therapy session, every medical appointment, and every important step in her growth and development. She needs my constant presence, my care, my emotional support, and my love to continue progressing and to have the opportunity to live a dignified, stable life full of possibilities.

My greatest fear is not being able to remain with her in this country and losing the opportunity to continue supporting her development. Ashley deserves to grow up surrounded by love, security, and stability. Every small achievement she has reached has been the result of tremendous effort, dedication, and daily support.

The funds raised will be used to cover the legal and immigration expenses necessary to regularize my status and fight to remain by the side of my daughter and my family. This help represents not only financial support, but also hope to keep our family together during this very difficult time.
