Help Kirsty be here for more tomorrows and the moments that matter
Kirsty is 42—and she is fighting to stay alive for her three young children.
In June 2023, at 25 weeks pregnant, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She went through chemotherapy while carrying her baby, delivered safely at 36 weeks, and kept going through surgery and treatment with incredible strength and a sense of humour and personality that lights up every room.
But now, things have changed.
⸻
The cancer has progressed
Kirsty is living with secondary breast cancer.
It has spread to her bones, and there is now a new tumour in her supraclavicular lymph node.
Her cancer has also mutated—changing to HER2-positive, a more aggressive form that requires new treatment.
HER2-positive cancer also carries a higher risk of spreading to the brain—where treatment becomes even more complex.
⸻
✨ This is the moment that matters ✨
Kirsty is still well.
Still active. Still being mum.
But, she has had to quit work and move out of the family home, to help pay for future treatments not available on the NHS.
There is still a big window to act.
Right now, she urgently needs:
- A PET scan to understand the full spread
- A brain scan to rule out further progression
- Advanced testing to unlock the best treatment options
Without this, doctors don’t yet have the full picture.
⸻
Why we’re asking for help
We need to move faster than the system allows.
We are raising funds to give Kirsty immediate access to:
- Life-saving scans and diagnostics
- Specialist opinions
- Personalised, cutting-edge treatments (UK or abroad)
- protocol that isn’t available on the NHS
These options could cost £50,000+.
But this isn’t just about money.
It’s about giving a mum more time with her children.
⸻
Please help if you can
Donate. Share. Spread the word.
Because this is about school runs, birthdays, and watching her children grow up.
If you think you can help running a charity event, please just let us know as the more help we can get to reach our goal, the better!
Thanks for reading and even if your contribution is tiny, it all helps.
update !!!!!!!!!!!!
£56,000. We honestly can’t believe it. ❤️ — BUT WE’RE NOT DONE YET… £70K, LET’S GO!
We genuinely don’t know where to start with this one. ❤️
We set out to raise £50,000 for Kirsty.
And somehow… YOU have helped us smash that.
We are now at an absolutely incredible £56,000. ❤️
We never, ever dreamt we would get this far.
What started as a fundraising target has become something so much bigger — a huge team effort from friends, family, local communities and people from much further afield, all coming together to give Kirsty the very best chance possible.
From our clay boob pot night, T-shirt sales, quiz nights, fundraising walks, half marathon at Coniston, charity events, local business support, donations, bake sales and so many other brilliant events and acts of kindness, every single one has added up.
And honestly… we are beyond thankful.
The care.
The generosity.
The time people have given.
The businesses who have donated.
The people who have organised events.
The people who have turned up.
The people who have shared the GoFundMe.
The people who have donated whatever they could.
You have completely blown us away. ❤️
So… why are we changing the target?
We know that changing a fundraising target can sometimes be frowned upon, and we completely understand why.
But the reality is that £50,000 was never going to be enough to cover everything Kirsty needs to give herself the best possible chance in India.
This isn’t simply about paying for treatment.
Kirsty wants to be able to travel to India with her family. She will potentially need to be there for a lengthy period of time, and there are significant costs involved in accommodation, travel, living expenses and the additional treatment she wants to explore.
£56,000 gives Kirsty real-life options.
And that’s exactly what we want for her.
We want Kirsty to be able to make decisions based on what gives her the best possible chance, rather than having to make decisions based on what she can afford.
So today, we’re changing our target to:
£70,000 ❤️
And honestly, we believe we can do it.
We already have some amazing fundraising events planned, with lots more in the pipeline. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for all the upcoming events and ways you can get involved.
And if you think you can help us get from £56k → £70k, please do.
Donate if you can.
Come along to an event.
Get involved.
Organise something.
Share the GoFundMe.
Send it to someone who might be able to help.
Every single pound matters.
We cannot thank everyone enough for getting us to this point.
You’ve shown Kirsty an unbelievable amount of love, kindness and support, and we honestly feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people.
£50k was the dream.
£56k is the reality.
£70k is the new goal.
And if we’ve learnt anything through all of this, it’s that when people come together, incredible things can happen. ❤️
So let’s keep going.
For Kirsty. For her family. And for giving her the best possible chance.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. ❤️
£70,000 — LET’S GET HER THERE.
Please continue to share the GoFundMe. Every share could reach the person who helps us take that next step. ❤️
