In November 2024, my mother began experiencing auras, the subtle signals your body provides before the onset of a seizure. By early February 2025, she suffered her first actual seizure. Although she was prescribed medication, she continued to struggle with debilitating headaches and excruciating eye pain. On February 21, in desperation due to the persistent pain, she visited the emergency room. After undergoing an MRI, we received devastating news: a large tumor, the size of a golf ball, was pressing on the lining of her brain, obstructing her carotid artery and optic nerve. She was promptly rushed to OSU and underwent emergency surgery on February 23. It was later confirmed that the tumor was a meningioma.
While my mother's treatment was absolutely essential for her survival, it has placed our family in a state of financial difficulty. With soaring medical expenses, ongoing household bills, and my mother unable to work, we have fallen behind on essential services such as electricity and water. Throughout her life, my mother has been a beacon of strength, compassion, and kindness, not only for me but for countless others. Now, it is our turn to return the favor and rally together to help her regain her footing.
My fundraising goal is $2,500. This amount will help steer us in the right direction by addressing medical bills, household expenses, and any therapies she may require.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your support, whether it’s in the form of a donation or simply spreading awareness about our situation, means the world to me and my family. We genuinely appreciate every ounce of kindness and generosity you can offer.
God bless you.
