Volunteering Medical Programme in Tanzania!

For those who do not know me, my name is Molly, I am 20, and in August 2025 I will be spending 3 weeks in Africa volunteering with ‘Plan My Gap Year’ Tanzania’s Medical Programme. I am a second year student Paediatric Nurse and have decided to take this opportunity to gain more experience/exposure and see how struggling healthcare systems like the one’s in Tanzania ‘make do’ with their limited resources. My working/volunteering days at the hospital will be Monday- Friday. I will come across many vulnerable and sick children/adults and experience a range of illnesses and diseases that are uncommon in the UK . Like most trips and experiences abroad, they are very expensive and take a lot of planning! Therefore, if you would like to support me in my journey to helping others and gaining career-related experience in Africa I would greatly appreciate it! Any money donated will not just be used to help me fund the programme expenses and flights, I am also hoping to take some fun stickers, small toys etc, for the children who are having a hard time in hospital! It’s likely I will post some photos once I am out there so if you are interested to see what i get up to (in the hospital and on my weekends off)keep a look out. Me, and the other girls who are volunteering are also planning a fun games/bingo night to fundraise further, so a limited number of family and friends are welcome to come along once we know further details!
