My name is Omar, and I am running for the York County South Carolina House of Representatives District 46. I was born and raised in Rock Hill, attended local schools, and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1998. I am a proud US Army Veteran, having served from July 1998 to July 2004, including a deployment to OEF/OIF from April 2003 to March 2004. I am also a husband, father of two daughters, and a 100% disabled Army Veteran who has survived congestive heart failure.

Throughout my life, I have faced many challenges—homelessness, divorce, life-threatening disabilities, and PTSD. Through God’s grace and mercy, and by walking closely with my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, I have learned to appreciate the small things that make life meaningful. These experiences have given me the insight, discernment, and determination to serve the people of District 46 with compassion and action.

I am running for the House of Representatives because I believe we can't do big things unless we do the small things right.
