Update for Matthew “Chubbs” McHale
As we get closer to honoring Matthew back home in Bloomington, I keep coming back to the same truth: Matthew was so much more than the hardest years of his life. He was loud, funny, stubborn, loyal, protective, deeply intelligent, and completely unforgettable. He loved music, cooking, Indiana, animals, and his family. He made friends everywhere, and since his passing, people from every chapter of his life have reached out with stories of his kindness, humor, generosity, and the way he showed up for people. Addiction was something Matthew suffered from, but it was never who he was. Pasted markdown Pasted markdown
Our family is now focused on giving Matthew the dignity, peace, and permanent home he deserves at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. Donations have already helped cover part of his inurnment service and his customized urn, but significant expenses remain for his cremation, transportation, service, inurnment, and permanent placement. Every donation helps relieve some of that burden from our mother, Destiny, as she grieves her firstborn son. If you are unable to donate, please continue sharing Matthew’s story — every share matters and helps us reach someone who may be able to help. Pasted markdown Pasted markdown
“Chubbs was here.” And he mattered. Thank you for helping us bring Matthew home, remember him with dignity, and honor the whole person he was. ❤️
