Mamas Emergency Vet Fund

Hello all, most of you have either met this sweet little girl, or know her through pictures. This is our sweet Dahalia, better known as Mamas.

Friday (11/15/24) we both decided to take her to the vet. We noticed that she had been coughing more often than usual. For a while we brushed it off as hairballs, but something in our guts told us it was more.

After bloodwork, X-rays, 708$ out of pocket, and a radiologists review we now know that she has two masses in her lungs. We aren’t sure if it’s cancer, but a biopsy will for sure be needed. That and CT scans.

She’s only 3 years old. We’ve only had her for 1 & 1/2 of those precious years.

Peter and I aren’t the type to ask for charity… but between my (Abby) medical bills and now Mamas, we know we will need as much help as we can get to keep this cutie alive.

She has been such an important part of our little family. I can tell you that she has acted as our emotional support animal since my -(Abby) medical journey/ diagnosis has started. She’s our best friend and we really don’t want to lose her.

This fund will help cover her vet bills, travel costs for specialists, and potential chemo/ surgery. Peter and I are willing to do whatever it takes to keep this girl around and to give her the life she deserves. Any little bit would help us greatly.

We are trying to do all that we can now to prolong her life, so the scans and biopsies need to happen ASAP.

UPDATE- Pet insurance will NOT cover Mamas. When we called they explained that since we applied for insurance AFTER her diagnosis on Friday nothing that happens for this specific diagnosis will be covered. This makes your donation more important than ever.
