Hi Everyone!

This spring I heard about International Student Volunteers from my advisor at Iowa State University. It has always been a dream of mine to travel abroad and help others. I have been accepted into the program and am set to travel to Costa Rica on May 15th to work on critical conservation projects. I will be travelling with ISV leaders and a group of students from all around the world. 

The program is comprised of one week living with a host family and learning Spanish, two weeks working with scientists to help study and protect animals such as turtles, spider monkeys and tropical birds. The program ends with two weeks immersed in the environment and all the experiences that Costa Rica has to offer!

While many things are included in this incredible experience, some things are not. These include plane tickets, the additional host family week, some meals during the last two weeks, additional cultural experiences and lots of bug spray! As a full time student pursing a degree in Animal Ecology I am reaching out to you, and other organizations, for sponsorship and support. 

I am so thrilled to have been accepted into this incredible program. Thank you  for viewing this page and taking an interest in the most wonderful adventure of my life so far. I hope this is only the beginning of a lifetime of travel and volunteering to help people and animals abroad!
