Support Maka's Missionary Work in Tbilisi, Georgia
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Jheni Solis, and I had the privilege of being a missionary for almost a year in Eastern Europe. As I write this, I’m still in Eastern Europe, just weeks left in my missionary journey here in Bucharest, Romania.
Early last year, while I was still in the U.S., I started a Gofundme to raise funds for me and my husband to spend 10 months serving in the mission field. We were blown away by the generosity of so many friends (and friends of friends) who donated to our fundraiser… and because of everyone’s donations, we were able to live our lives as full-time missionaries. I feel very blessed that I’m an American, because it was possible to meet our fundraising goal rather quickly. Unfortunately, my fellow (missionary) team mates from Eastern Europe are not in the same position. One of them is Maka Kakheli from Tbilisi, Georgia. Here is Maka’s story:
Hello, my name is Maka, and I'm from Tbilisi, Georgia, which is a small country with rich history.
My whole family are disciples and members of the Tbilisi Church, so I grew up as a “Kingdom Kid”. One day, I started to think about my purpose in this life, so I started to pray a lot for God to make things clear to me. It didn’t take long before God started showing me that the most priceless and meaningful thing I can do in my life is to spread the gospel and pass the faith in God throughout many nations and many generations.
I was really excited to have been able to serve God and eventually be in the full-time ministry.
In 2022, God opened a door for me to join the RevivEE 3.0 mission team in Chișinău, Moldova. I saw how wonderful it was going to be to join RevivEE for the church, myself and my dreams for God. Even before the 3.0 program ended, I eagerly signed up to join the 4.0 team.
Because of many baptisms and many baby Christians in the Chisinau church, few of us from the 4.0 team decided to stay in Moldova to continue our efforts in training, strengthening and supporting them, as well as continuing to spread the gospel in Chișinău.
Earlier this year, I was made aware of an opportunity in my own country to do mission work for one year. From September 2024 to September 2025, a group of 4 or 5 missionaries will team up with the local campus disciples to implement our own version of RevivEE!
I am so excited to have this opportunity to go back to my home country and serve in this capacity, because I see that the time to revive the Tbilisi Church has come! I believe with all my heart that God can do something new, big and amazing through our mission efforts in Georgia.
My home church is 29 years old with about 50 members. They are faithful and loving disciples, and they are blessed to have full-time church leaders.
The Tbilisi Church will provide me with some funding, but unfortunately, the amount I will receive will not cover all of my expenses as a full-time missionary.
I would be so grateful for your donation, as this will allow me to focus on doing mission work full-time.
Thank you so much in advance for your prayers and help!
Maka is a loving, serving woman who befriended me right away. Her humility and faith has inspired me significantly.
The fundraiser goal of $6,000 will go towards a
Supplemental Salary of $6,000 ($500 per month for 12 months)
There are two ways to donate:
1. Donate through this Gofundme (I will be wiring the funds to her)
2. Wire your donations directly to Maka via Western Union (You can reach out to me privately, and I will get you in touch with her)
Please join me in my fundraising efforts for Maka!
