Help Build MadisonMesh: A Fun, Off-Grid, Messaging Network

This will be a community driven project which will allow small "text message" like messages to be communicated to others in the mesh network. The project requires no commercial electricity, no internet, no subscriptions; just a small inexpensive device that joins to MadisonMesh. It will be used mostly for fun, community announcements, and can also be used in the event of an emergency. I am still in the early stages of build out so I don't know exactly how much network will need to be built. So far, the proof of concept equipment is approximately $150-$175 per node. Each node "meshes" with other nodes to extend the network. I plan to build the greater "backbone" so that anyone in Madison County can connect and use MadisonMesh. It can be used anywhere you are able to connect to MadisonMesh; hunting, hiking, at your home, in town, ANYWHERE in Madison County were I can get access installed. In order to build this out, it will take some fundraising as I am unable to fund the whole project. I will be looking into potential grant money in the near future as well. I have the know how, now I just need time, money, and several specific locations around Madison County.
