Our Story

In a world of disconnection, noise, and burnout — many of us are quietly searching for something deeper. A place to feel grounded. A place to reconnect with nature, with faith, with meaning.

What if that place wasn’t just a retreat… but a way of life?

My name is Adnan, founder of Atelier Khan, a London-based design&build practice rooted in soulful architecture and purposeful placemaking. After years of envisioning and studying sacred design, I’m now working to bring something extraordinary to life:

Madinat al-Fitrah — The Village of Sacred Balance — a living Sunnah.

It’s a self-sufficient micro-village rooted in Islamic tradition, ecological stewardship, and purposeful community. A place to live simply and spiritually — with balance, beauty, and barakah.

What Is Madinat al-Fitrah?

Madinat al-Fitrah is a prototype village that revives the Prophetic way of living:

What Will the Village Include?

3) Sacred Village Life:

Phase 1 Goal: £50,000

We are currently raising £50,000 to fund Phase 1 — the full design and concept development.

Deliverables:

This stage will equip us to approach investors, landowners, institutions, and long-term donors with a powerful, professional presentation.

Your Legacy: Sponsor a Tree

Donors who give £250 or more will have a tree planted in their name (or a loved one’s) in the village — a lasting sadaqah jariyah that grows alongside the vision.

Every donor will be part of the Madinat al-Fitrah founding story.
