This June, something powerful is happening for the very first time:

Muslim Pride is coming to New York City.

(Please note: This project originated in Canada in 2020 and the lead organizer operates from Toronto. Therefore, GoFundMe displays the goal in Canadian dollars (CAD$). For reference, $1,000 USD is approximately $1,400 CAD. Please keep this in mind when making a donation.)

We’re bringing queer and trans Muslims together for a weekend of celebration, community, and visibility — with historic events at both The Stonewall Inn and The LGBT Center. This marks the first time ever that Muslims will be celebrated on these iconic stages. It’s not just an event — it’s a landmark moment for our community and for queer history.

We're showcasing 25+ artists — including burlesque performers, poets, drag artists, musicians, and visual artists. These are Muslim creatives reclaiming space, sharing stories, and expressing joy at the intersection of queerness and faith.

We believe artists deserve to be paid — not just thanked. That’s why 100% of ticket sales go directly to compensating performers.

Why We Need Your Help?

To make the rest of the event possible, we’re raising $10,000 (USD) to cover:

Venue rental

Sound and lighting tech

Stage crew and production support

Photography and videography

Hospitality for artists and guests

Transportation and equipment rental
