In March 2026 i am travelling to Nepal and trekking for over 2 weeks to Mt Everest Base Camp one of the worlds highest civilisations, in support of those climbing their own inner mountain. Mental health effects everyone in different ways some may seek help and others struggle in silence. This long strenuous journey is to prove that anybody that's been so low can climb to the top of the world, all of which wouldnt be possible without the weekly meets of morleys own local mental health charity CONQR which help support former
M.I.N.T- men in need together
W.I.S.H - women inspiring strength & hope
V.I.N.T- veterans in need together
We are more than grateful for any donations possible. These small acts of kindness along side the weekly meets can genuinely save a person's life.
The trip starts with a long flight from a London airport to Katmandhu followed by a flight to the worlds most dangerous airport Lukla which is probably more recognised as the highest, shortest, steepest runway in the world.
From then on I have a grueling 130km which is approximately 80 miles of trekking ahead of me ascending to a height of 5,364m contending with below freezing conditions, low oxygen levels, possible altitude sickness, little hot water or showers ... all of which I can look forward to.
For the next year and abit I'm giving up my weekends, bank holidays, times with friends and family and 2 beautiful children to successfully CONQR the 2 weeks trek on what will be hopefully the hardest but most rewarding trip of a lifetime. We all know someone affected by mental health and hopefully this will bring light to those struggling silently and my challenge will maybe give them the strength to challenge themselves to speak up and seek help.
Myself and the charity would be so thankful if you could spare 2 minutes of your time to share this page and where possible maybe give up your beer/takeaway money just for one evening and give to this great cause and make a difference.
Please share with friends, family, coworkers and even the strangers you meet lets get this message far and wide.
Thankyou for reading this far
Jason moore.
