My name is Matthew Johnson. I am an American citizen residing in Texas. My wife is a Canadian citizen. My wife and I have been working our way through immigration services into the United States since November of 2015. We have been law abiding citizens striving to create our American dream, and have financially sacrificed great sums to afford and pay for immigration. We have been preparing since September 2016 to move my wife, our kids, and her belongings to Texas so that we can have the opportunity and privilege of living as a family. Our plan was to use the family car (a 2002 Acura MDX) to transport her belongings to Texas while she flew with the kids to Houston. Our family car was stolen on 14 December. We presently have no way of moving our family's belongings, and the car insurance will not pay for a rental. I am asking for $2500 to cover the cost of the rental and the fees that will be charged by GoFundMe.

We planned on moving during the holiday season. The specific planned dates were 20-24 December so we could be home for Christmas, and start to settle by the New Year. Your generosity would mean more than the weight of the world. It would mean being with my family.
