To all our family and friends who knew and loved Michael Lucas:

I am Megan’s older sister, Ashley. These past few days have been everything imaginable: surreal, out of body, grief stricken, —all of the adjectives. We now work to pick up the pieces of my sister’s broken heart and snuggle her boys. My husband, kids, and I are here every night to help with dinner, bath time, and bed, and also help bring life back in her house. We play Michael’s vinyl, sing songs, make crude jokes, chase the boys in the yard, and of course, cry. The unfairness of it all hurts the chest. Everyone’s touching videos, stories, gifts, and outpouring of love has been such a gift. What a devastation we all have to endure.

So many of you have kindly reached out to offer help and we are beyond grateful. We’ve created a go fund me to help with all of the expenses she now faces. Megan’s spirit is crazy strong and we’d love to help her in navigating this new world of being a widowed mama.

We love you all and-- Michael, we miss you more than you will ever know.
