This November, I'm volunteering in Rwanda with BridgesToProsperity. I am one of ten WSP engineers heading to Hanika, Rwanda, to build a bridge connecting an isolated rural community to health care, education, and economic opportunities. Think "Engineers Without Borders." The cover photo shown here is from my last trip to Africa, during which I conducted field research for my master's thesis on informal public transport in Nigeria. I am incredibly excited to return to the continent and build this bridge!
