Support the team who brought Mary Lou Combs HOME from the deep after 22.5 years missing in Palm Coast, FL.
Current Needs include:
6x12 Custom Trailer configured as Dive Locker, ROV Hangar, Boat Trailer, & Sleeping Quarters for overnight search efforts. (Current Quote $5400.)
Master Underwater Criminal Investigator Training - Some teams buy the gear and don't train. We value New Training & annual recurrence training to handle the problem at depth & medical emergencies topside. Our dive credentials include ERDI Underwater Crime Scene Investigator, technical Trimix gas to 165ft depth, and Full Cave/Overhead Environments. ($1250)
OTS Guardian Full Face Masks with Topside Comms to protect our divers who are currently exposed to biological hazards and chemical hazards in the water. ($2500)
Technical Dive Lights - specialized corded canister lights. This equipment can cost upwards of $900-$1500. Our current primary cave diving light is broken after being in service since 2010.
Newport NT300 36-volt Electric Outboard with Battery Pack ($1299+$1199 = $2500)
Operating Funds - "Fuel, Food, & Fortress"
Expenditures to keep us on the road. A place to sleep (we welcome invites by AirBnB property owners in our search areas). Food on the road. Fuel for vehicles and vessels. Lithium-ion batteries. Dive cylinder fills. Camera memory cards. You will NOT see our donor's funds used for non-search personal sundries. (Every penny keeps us on the road and in the water.)
We are currently financially limited to one multi-day travel search trip per quarter. We often search close to home on weekdays and weekends. Our best success occurs on multi-day targeted searches with the full team there to launch multiple boats and ROVs, leapfrogging, and splash multiple divers.
