Loryn’s Surgical Mission trip with Operation International

Hi! My name is Loryn, and I am a PACU (aka Recovery Room) registered nurse since 2013. I’m joining fellow coworkers for a surgical medical mission in Guayaquil, Ecuador, this January 2025.

A group of perioperative nurses and surgeons are going to teach local physicians and nurses, while performing surgeries taking care of cleft lip/palate and breast cancer patients. We will be working at a local hospital that has 400 beds, 3 Operating Rooms, and services 3.5 million people.
