My wonderful niece, Lizzie Byrnes Knudsen was killed in an auto accident north of Spokane the day before yesterday. Her great husband Andrew is a doctoral candidate which has meant that Lizzie's income supported the family. Their girls Mable and Theodora are in the hospital being treated for their injuries from the accident. Theodora "Teddy" is in a coma after cranial surgery and Mable is suffering from seat belt abrasions to her spleen.

Money is needed immediately to address their family needs and hospital care as they recover from the loss of their beloved wife and mother, Lizzie.

Lizzie and my sister's family have been a particular blessing in my own life. I am grateful to any who might be able just to wish them condolences and to those who may be able to assist financially as well.
