H.E.L.L.A Co-Lab is a majority low-income and majority QTBIPOC collective co-stewarding land that will accommodate 7 residential low-footprint tiny homes and 1 communal space in West Oakland. We aspire toward permanent affordability and de-commodifying land and housing. As the first group to receive a Vehicular Residential Facilities permit in the City of Oakland, we aim to co-create this community while prioritizing and centering People of the Global Majority with low-income. Beyond providing a place to call home, we seek to cultivate green spaces, gardens, and a vibrant hub for organizing—building power, fostering healing, and working toward the liberation of all oppressed people in the face of systemic inequality
The Obstacle :
Currently, our community lacks a full sewer system that could accommodate new residents. This limits our growth, our ability to keep up with payments, and hinders our ability to fully realize our vision.
The Solution:
With your donation, we can expand our sewer system which will:
- Allow more people access to this growing project
- Enable new members to connect their residential units to the sewer system.
- Permit construction of communal spaces for community members
How You Can Help:
- Donate: By donating to our GoFundMe campaign, you're directly contributing to a capacious, and more sustainable future.
