Hello, myself (Linde, Marks sister) and Fionn, (Mark’s competition on a bike) decided to set up this fundraising page for him for a ( very early) birthday present that he has no idea about so please keep this a secret!

For those of you who know Mark, you will not need any convincing that this incredible human being deserves the very best in life, and to date he has almost achieved this.

Mark has a beautiful and loving wife, two incredible children, a good job (well… he’s a schoolteacher), a roof over his head and a hairline to die for.

What he does not have is a bike that weighs less than 14kg (pretty sure it’s the heaviest road bike in Devon) and is befitting of his cycling abilities and fitness level. Nor does he have the funds to make such an extravagant purchase. Like the rest of his friends’ group, Mark is approaching that inevitable, slow physical decline that comes to us all. Before this fully sets in (and to prevent this for as long as possible) we wish to help Mark achieve something he believes impossible – get him a posh bike.

If, over the years Mark has had to face adversity in his life, even those closest to him may not necessarily be aware. Mark is someone who never complains when he or those closest to him might be suffering. Mark faces life’s hardships with strength, dignity and utter selflessness, always putting the needs and the wellbeing of others before his own. To have Mark in your corner is one of the greatest assurances you can have and an absolute privilege.

So, let’s rally to his corner now!!!

£2.5k will get Mark the Bike of his dreams – full carbon frame and Sram/Di2 Groupset. i.e. a Cannondale Supersix Evo.
