On June 19, 2025, our mother, friend, sister, daughter Roz Gorges earned her angel wings surrounded by her loved ones.
For those who know my mom, she was a force, the spark at any party or gathering. She was also constantly fighting a silent battle for her health, a war she didn't openly discuss with anyone.
About 2 years ago, my mother suffered TIA strokes which put her into vascular dementia, paralysis, and vision loss. Over the last 2 years, my father and his wonderful caregiver, Jean, have provided her round-the-clock care at their home to meet my mom's wishes of staying out of a hospital setting.
As many of you know, my father is a business owner and was also her primary care giver. It's hard to write about my dad because God broke the mold when he made him. He and my mom.were married 43 years. Not once did he give up on her. Not once did he leave her side. He set aside his own needs to make her happy and comfortable, stepping away from his work to be with her in her final days. Please send him prayers as he embarks on this new chapter in his life.
Our family kindly asks for donations towards expenses associated with my mother's care and after life expenses.
