Let’s “Kraush” This!

Dear family and friends of the Kraushaar family,

Just a few short weeks after the birth of their second child, Kris was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer, which had also spread to his liver. Kris has had surgery to remove the cancer in the colon and has started on the road to treating the cancer that has spread to the liver.

As you can imagine, these circumstances have greatly complicated an already challenging time. The Kraushaars went from focusing on the joyful adjustment of life with a 2 year old and newborn, to the more stressful and worrisome task of beating cancer.

Throughout these past few weeks, as many of you heard this news, you responded, asking “What can I do?” “How can I help?” “What do they need?” 

Please continue sending positive thoughts and prayers. An uplifting phone call or text is certainly helpful.  Meals are wonderful. Now, More than ever, rest and sleep are needed! 

The initial goal of this fundraiser is to raise money to pay for a night nurse whose primary responsibility will be to  help with those newborn midnight feedings. Additionally, this nurse will help sleep train Case so the entire family wakes up rested and ready to “Kraush” cancer. 

Any additional funds raised will be put toward medical bills and medication at the discretion of the Kraushaars.
