Help Kits By County provide PE kits for needy children
A team from Stockport County Community Trust is running the Cheshire Half Marathon on Sunday 8th September to raise money for our Kits by County campaign.
In a bid to help disadvantaged children to become more active and engaged in sport, the football club’s owner Mark Stott has kick-started a scheme to distribute thousands of free PE kits to Stockport’s primary schools by September 2025.
PE lessons are the main form of regular physical exercise for half of the borough’s primary school children. However, pressures on the family purse continue to prohibit them from taking part, with the cost of kits beyond the reach of parents and carers who lack disposable income.
Kits by County’s fundraising target of £100,000 will help to address this inequality, with any donations making a significant difference to the lives of children across our borough.
Please give generously if you can!
