Rwanda Summer Program with EWH

Hello everyone!

My name is Khulood Al Ali - Biomedical Engineering Master student at Carnegie Mellon University – Pittsburgh.

For the last few years, I have been involved in verity of local community service projects. In 2015, I decided to do my internship with Global Links – a nonprofit organization in Pittsburgh, PA. while I helped the organization in preparing wheelchairs plus medical materials to ship them to low resources communities in Africa, I noticed how rewarding it feels to give people with the bottom of the heart.  

This summer I decided to go farther and travel to Rwanda myself with Engineering World Health to assist 10 hospitals in Rwanda with critical medical device repairs and other services.
I will be in Rwanda for 9 weeks of my summer (May 26th - July 27th) with other 22 participants cooperating in different projects to repair verity of medical equipment and help better Rwanda healthcare services.

Your gracious contribution will be for the great cause of providing us with tools and materials needed to provide the best services to repair equipment, conduct preventative maintenance and train staff on how to maintain old, and operate new equipment.
