Kevin Keith Family Support

Donation protected
Thank you for signing Kevin Keith's petition to help free him from his wrongful conviction.

Earlier this year, Kevin lost his appeal before the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. This decision is being addressed by Kevin's lawyers and the hope is that the decision will be revisited. Ultimately, we remain hopeful that the court throws out his conviction and orders an immediate new and fair trial. Or,

Governor DeWine is still considering Kevin's request for executive clemency, and that decision could happen at any time, although it seems unlikely while litigation continues.
And so, we wait.

Meanwhile, Kevin is facing another birthday and holiday season in prison. Kevin calls every so often to say hello, and in the past week he asked for support in two specific ways:

  • Kevin has some documents he wants to mail to members of the media across the country about his innocence, and needs help with funds for postage.
  • This coming Wednesday (11/22/23) is the cutoff for him to order any special foods he would like to have for a Christmas meal. Also, Kevin's 60th birthday is December 18. Kevin hopes that his supporters might chip in to help him order some special birthday and holiday foods.

Kevin's family wants to help, and yet they continue to struggle with limited income and all of the direct effects of poverty. If you are able to support Kevin's family and help them support Kevin's requests at this time, please donate on this page.

BACKGROUND

Charles Kieth's trajectory was on the rise. He was in college with dreams of being a psychologist. Then one day while roll call was being taken in a class, someone heard his name and asked, "Are you related to that guy that was just arrested for those murders in Bucyrus?"

That was more than 30 years ago. Charles left school to go help his brother, Kevin Keith, who was wrongly convicted and sentenced to death for a crime he had nothing to do with. (See case information and sign the petition .)

BUT, having not finished college, and with Charle's life being consumed in the decades-long effort to free his brother, Charles continues to live close to the poverty line. At this writing, Charles does not have a dependable vehicle and he lives with his mother. Charles works part-time for Death Penalty Action, but that organization can only pay him so much, and he needs a significant cash infusion to allow him to establish himself anew.

The goal of this GoFundMe is to give Charles Keith ad his family the necessary funding to cover ongoing needs and also support their loved one in prison.

If you want to help Charles directly, he uses Paypal charlesekeith6 <at> gmail.com and Cashapp - $CharlesEKeith6 -- . Otherwise, please chip in here. Thank you!
