Hey there,
We are raising money for our friend and colleague, A. He is one of many visa-less ex-detainees stuck in limbo, without recourse to government support during this time. He has just lost his ability to work due to the recently introduced stage 4 restrictions and we would like to raise enough to cover his rent during this time. He has just moved into a private rental for the first time and we want to support him to ensure he has at least this security! Unfortunately due to his situation I can't share any personal details but will provide full transparency about where the money goes! His rent is $160 p/w which includes utilities. We are hoping to raise enough to cover at the least the 6 weeks of this lockdown, which comes to $960. Any extra raised will go toward covering rent for longer, or to cover general living expenses. For those who know him and want to provide some ongoing support, please contact me personally.

Wow that was so fast <3 we will extend the target a bit to try cover a bit more of his rent incase of further lockdowns/so that he has some back up.
