Hello, we are the Kareemo's!

In Jan 2025, we miscarried our two beautiful embryos (that many helped us adopt). It was a difficult season because we saw God move in so many miraculous ways during the adoption, yet we will never get to meet the babies on this side of heaven. In the meantime we want to give IUI a shot. (We have started the steps towards domestic adoption but it takes years and a significant financial contribution.)

After fundraising nearly $10K we still have $12K on our CC, and this next round will cost us around $6K, with sperm costing $3,600 and procedures being a few thousand.

We are trying to kick the shame/insecurity we feel in the face by humbly asking you all to help get us out of the debt we have incurred trying to have a baby.

And to help us continue to tear down whatever barrier remain between us and the call from God to be parents.

Even though the American rhetoric says something like “you are not a good person if you need the people around you” we believe needing one another is inherently part of living in community. We would rather learn to lean on our community rather than “do it ourselves.” We know this runs against the culture we live in and hope that this is the beginning of embracing the neediness that enables us to receive the help we will need as future parents from God and from you as our community.
