Kicks For Kids started with one simple act, giving new shoes to children walking barefoot in poverty stricken communities. What began as a response to families affected by devastating fires in Khayelitsha, South Africa has grown into an international movement. Shoes are the entry point. They allow us access into neighborhoods where children are often overlooked, kids wearing worn out soles, kids without protection, kids who have never been told how powerful they truly are.
Our nonprofit foundation is faith based. We believe in introducing love, sharing, faith, and hope into communities that need it most. When we step into these neighborhoods, we do not just bring footwear. We bring encouragement. We speak life. We remind children that they are beautiful, powerful, strong, and well able. We introduce them to the love of the Lord God through kindness, action, and example.
Kicks For Kids is not just a giveaway. When we visit communities, we create an experience. We host dance performances, encourage singing and acting, allow the kids to perform and express themselves, talk about fitness and discipline, and build confidence through creativity. We want children to feel seen, not just helped. We want them to know their gifts matter and that their voices deserve to be heard.
What started in Khayelitsha, South Africa has now reached Cartagena, Colombia, and we are continuing to expand. Our goal is bold. We are working to reach at least 1,000,000 children in person, giving them brand new shoes and something even greater, hope. Not through shipping boxes. Through presence. Through stepping into neighborhoods. Through real human connection.
Just $20 can provide one child with a brand new pair of shoes. A simple gift can restore dignity, protection, confidence, and opportunity. And remember, as we give, the Lord God gives to us and provides all our needs.
For $500, we can host a full outreach event in a community, providing shoes, encouragement, performances, and a day of empowerment for dozens of children. We are deeply grateful to the donors who have done this in the past and helped put so many smiles on the faces of children who needed it most.
