Justice for Arash

On Thursday 26th June 2025, our world was shattered by a horrific, racially motivated attack that has left my beloved father fighting for his life. Just one day after my younger sister’s 18th birthday, she called me in tears to say that our dad had been brutally assaulted- on our own driveway. It began when my mum accidentally bumped a van belonging to a construction worker carrying out work for our neighbour. The man responded with aggressive swearing and verbal abuse toward my mum. When my father came outside to defend his wife and calmly defuse the situation, he was met not with reason, but with uncontrollable rage. Within two minutes of stepping out of the house, my father was struck on the back of the head with a heavy wooden pole- so forcefully that it snapped. Even after he collapsed, the man continued to attack him. The blows fractured my father’s skull in four places and caused severe internal bleeding in his brain. He was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery and is now in a medically induced coma in the ICU. Doctors say his condition is critical- but we know his spirit is strong. This is a man who has fought many battles in life. A man who gave up everything to bring our family to the UK in search of safety, dignity, and a better future. A man who is selfless, kind, hardworking, and righteous. His warmth and integrity have touched the hearts of everyone who knows him. He does not deserve this, and we believe with all our hearts that he will overcome this, just as he has overcome so much before. We are launching this fundraiser to stand against racial hatred, raise awareness in this fight for justice, and to support any unexpected costs which may arise once my father is out of intensive care. No family should ever have to go through this. Please stand with us for my father’s recovery, and for the justice he truly deserves.
