This past weekend I found out that there are a few spots left on the September OLMC Medical Mission Trip to Haiti, and I am trying to take one of those spots. For the past 4 years I have held a concert for Haiti, in Doylestown to raise money and awareness for the people of the St. Simon and St. Jude Parish community in Port-Au-Prince. I spoke with Tom (the head of the medical mission team) and he gave me the lowdown on the trip. The cost to go is $1500 and the break down is: airfare, room, board, medical supplies, translators and transportation to and from the airport. We would fly direct out of JFK in to Port au Prince and stay for a week. The team will see roughly 1,000 people during this medical trip. I am reaching out to everyone to help me reach my goal and then some. After helping Haiti for the past 4 years, I think it is time for me to go, meet the people of this community and help them even more.
