Prairie to Pendle 14 mile circular walk for TSA

In May 2023 our world was turned upside down when our beautiful 6 month old baby boy was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC).

We had no idea anything was wrong until Jonah started having seizures and was admitted to hospital. An MRI scan revealed multiple tumours on his brain which led to his diagnosis. As parents all you want is for your children to be healthy, and nothing can prepare you for being told that's not the case.

TSC is a rare genetic condition that affects around 1 million people worldwide. It causes benign tumours to grow in various organs including the brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, eyes and skin. Issues caused by TSC are as a result of the tumours developed due to the condition. Common problems can include; epilepsy, kidney problems, mental impairment and physical disability.

The effects of TSC can vary considerably from person to person, and we simply have no idea how severely Jonah will be effected in the future. All we can do for him as parents is stay positive, give him the best quality of life and above all, keep our cheeky boy smiling.

The Tuberous Sclerosis Association provides much needed support for those effected by TSC and funds vital research into finding a cure.

On Sunday 26th November 2023 a group of our family and friends will join us on a gruelling 14 mile walk from the Prairie Pub in Burnley to the top of Pendle Hill, and back.

We hope to raise awareness and money for a charity so close to our hearts.
