$1 Million Dollars to benefit the Salvation Army's beds.

The KSHP 107.1 FM / AM1400 Jokez and Jamz Morning Squad is launching the official "Jokez and Jamz $1 Million Dollar Drive". It is to benefit the Salvation Army's new 32-bed facility; which they can not open, due to funding. They have one 32-bed facility already open, which is at full capacity every night. They have this new facility, that's up and ready to go, but because of funding, they can't open it. We had a conversation with Angel Dennis; the Director of the Salvation Army for Las Vegas, who told us it costs $1 million dollars a year, to maintain this new facility with staff, food, cooks, beds, blankets, and security. So the Jokez and Jamz Morning Squad saw a need - and we reacted. Because that's what we do. We get involved in the community. So, with your help, Las Vegas, we can help solve the homeless crisis in Las Vegas, just $1 at a time. Now we know this isn't a permanent solution. We know it'll take some time. But there's more than a million people living in Las Vegas. And don't even mention all the tourists...And everyone complains about the homeless.
