Joe's Tanzania Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Joe Bugler aged 16 from Watford and I've volunteered to spend three weeks this summer on an expedition in Tanzania organised by True Adventure alongside my school, Parmiter's. My group and I will be supporting a small rural community, Kahe Village, working with the charity Better Lives Foundation in a number of ways including: building a new pig pen, teaching English to Tanzanian children and carrying out urgent repairs to school buildings. We will also be treking in the Uluguru Mountains.
To enable me to participate in this amazing project I need to raise £3275 to cover the cost of the trip. In order to do this, I will be taking part, alongside my Dad, in the London to Brighton charity cycle ride taking place on 18th June 2017. We are due to set off at 7.30am and hope to complete the 54 mile course by lunchtime. Neither my Dad or I are cyclists but we've started training and are looking forward to the challenge.
If we manage to raise funds in excess of £3275, we will donate the surplus to the British Heart Foundation who are organising the ride. Any support you can offer will be gratefully received and will be of huge benefit to the community we're helping in Tanzania.
Thanks, Joe.
