It's my birthday! Help me build a forest!

Dear friends, this Sunday, March 24th, I turn 33 and in honor of my birthday I'm looking to raise funds for something I love so much -- the forest / mountains. As you may know, my personal theme this year is to "reduce waste"; part of that also means reducing my footprint and inspiring those around me to do the same!

Our CO2 emissions are responsible for climate change. Did you know that a life's CO2 emissions can be offset by planting a forest of about 5,000 trees (and much less after reducing its emissions)?

Everyone can plant their own personal forest to have a tangible impact on the quality of the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the life of animals and plants. And an org called "Reforest'Action" is making it possible. 

All funds raised will benefit "Reforest'action" -- a non-profit that has already planted 3 million trees to date around the world. Check out Reforest'Action

$20 - plants 6 trees
$50 - plants 15 trees
$100 - plants 30 trees

I set the goal at $5000, but if we get to $15K, we've officially planted a forest to reduce one lifetime's CO2 footprint! The forest I'm contributing to will be the Tarapoto in Peru. Take a look here.
