Share the Care for Jeff Rose in his daily life to Stay Strong!

Jeff was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia as a young man and has outlived his original prognosis.

He NOW REQUIRES 24 HOUR CARE.

He is has no strength and minimal control of his arms and legs. He can no longer feed himself or take care of his daily living activities.

Jeff continues to work daily on his strength, his mind, his faith, and his attitude of gratitude.

'If I don't workout, my body hurts. I refuse to take a bunch of pain pills because they turn my thinking into mush"

His previous GoFundMe in 2022 was for equipment like a bed, lift, etc to help him stay independent. He know requires 24 Hour Help with his ADL's and lives in a long term care nursing home.

Jeff is a very humble person and would never ask for help, that is why we decided to start this Go Fund Me campaign for him.

The funds will be used for:

Financially supporting 1:1 care that he currently requires beyond what the nursing home can offer.

His senior parents currently share the care with hired caregivers- 3 hours in the am and 2 hours in the pm to get him up and to PT, Gym, and Church on Sundays and fresh air outings.

This is getting both physically and financially challenging for his parents. Jeff has a sister with the same diagnosis that also requires support from her family.

Jeff previously was an advocate for others with disabilities. He was active in his community and had a dream of establishing a community for people with disabilities and special needs near the beach that has all the amenities. He attended city councel meetings and has been soley responsible for getting a wheelchair accessible ramp over the train tracks in Cardiff. He lived for 1 year in a local extended stay hotel and was active in trying to get them to have an automatic door for people with disabilities. He has written a book called "The Ability to Respond" about his early journey "You are more than your circumstances"- how your mindset and faith impact your ability to cope with difficult circumstances and life changing events.
