It is with deep sadness that I share the sudden passing of James Kelly. Our hearts are broken for his wife and three children during this extremely difficult time.

I had the pleasure of meeting James a year ago. We had a long and meaningful phone conversation about transitioning him from Local 3 to Local 1 elevator constructors to provide a better life for his family. As our conversation flowed, we discovered that we shared a mutual friend, LJ Maher, who was a childhood friend of James’s and also part of Local 1. James came into our Local full of determination and quickly made a name for himself.

Please let us come together to support his wife and his three young children as they navigate this profound loss.

The memorial service for James will be held on Wednesday, April 8th, from 5:00–8:00 PM at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home in Monroe, NY. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, April 9th, at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Monroe, NY.
