Here is the story of what has happened.... Hurricane Irma “devastated” many marinas leaving more than twenty offshore and backcountry captains looking for a place to dock.
The Fishing Captains went to the bay side to tie up their boats in the Mangrove to protect them from the storm. After the storm they came back to bring their boats to the marina's but most marinas are currently out of commision.
Many Fishing Captains have come to hoping that we have a spot to dock their boats, although our Marina is full. We also have had a lack of tourism due to the storm, and it continue for the next six months to a year due to many resorts being shut down from all the damage. With that being said how will these individuals support their families when their only source of income is from the outside tourism?
The money we raise will be going 100% to all Islamorada Fishing Captains and mates in this time of need. Please if everyone who reads this can donate atleast $5.00 to make a difference. Let's all come together and let's help Islamorada get back on their feet. Let's help and support all the great people who make Islamorada the Sport-Fishing Capital of the World.
